5th Grade Literacy Lesson
This was one of 10 lessons I wrote for my Advanced Literacy Practice course. I tutored a 5th grade student with reading and writing. In this lesson I have provided activities that support reading comprehension, fluency, and the writing process.
4th Grade Math Lesson
This was a lesson I wrote for my Math Methods course. In this lesson, 4th grade students find all factor pairs for a whole number in the range 1–100, recognize that a whole number is a multiple of each of its factors, and determine whether a given whole number in the range 1–100 is a multiple of a given one–digit number. Concrete manipulatives and pictoral representations are used to guide students' thinking.
3rd Grade Science Lesson
In this activity, students have a chance to practice the skills they have learned related to setting up a fair test. In doing so they will also demonstrate their understanding of all of the science terminology associated with a fair test and explore the idea of motion.
3rd Grade Social Studies Mini-Unit Outline
This is a series of lessons about the American Revolutionary War. This outline integrates children's literature, primary resources/ artifacts, technology, and authentic assessment.
